Alex Thoresen was an amazing person who left an indelible mark on family, friends, colleagues and total strangers alike. Unfortunately, in January 2018, after his yearlong illness with cancer, Alex passed this life.

 

Shortly after his death, The Alex Thoresen Legacy Foundation was established to perpetuate the positive impact Alex had on those around him. 

 

The following is a snippet* from a Facebook post that Alex wrote in between chemo sessions. 

·       “Perform an act of kindness for a stranger”

·       “Spread a little love on my behalf”

·       “Do some good”

The Alex Thoresen Legacy Foundation was created to serve and contribute to local agencies within the community that "do some good" through their works that directly benefit individuals and families who are in need. The Alex Thoresen Legacy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) and as dictated by the IRS, the foundation is obligated to distribute all the contributions that it receives to like nonprofits. More importantly, the Board's obligation to the Foundation stems from Alex and ensuring that his legacy lives on.
